Summary Report: Civil Society Consultation on Select Elements of Sustainable Development Governance

The Summary Report "Civil Society Consultation on Select Elements of Sustainable Development Governance" was conducted by the UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service for the UN Secretary General’s High-level Panel on Global Sustainability on 1-11 November 2011

Following the recent consultation report on civil society policy recommendations for the UN Secretary-General’s High-level Panel on Global Sustainability (GSP), the UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service (NGLS) now presents a consultation report on civil society views on select elements of sustainable development governance. Both consultations were conducted from 1 – 11 November 2011. Based on the reports of the Panel ’ s and Sherpas ’ meetings so far, NGLS formulated a menu of topics for consideration by civil society organizations and conducted telephone interviews, solicited written inputs, and examined submissions to the Rio+20 compilation document made by the organizations participating in this consultation for the GSP.
